I’m Darby Jacobs
Having grown up on the Walpole Island First Nation Reserve, I have always been surrounded by wildlife and hunting. Whenever I get the chance I am in the outdoors, whether that be fishing for Walleye in the spring, hunting ducks in the fall, or ice fishing in the winter. Duck hunting is by far my biggest passion! Nothing beats the thrill of a heart pounding duck hunt. I had my first hunting experience at the age of 3, watching my dad clean ducks and meeting his clients who had arrived for a hunt! I began hunting from the time I could hold a gun, and calling and guiding for my dad from the age of 12. I spend most of my free time guiding clients or hunting for fun with friends! Having been passed down this business by my dad, Kris, I hope to be able to attract more young people to duck hunting and keep the hunting tradition alive for years to come! I love working as a hunting guide because it’s an opportunity for me to do what I love, meet great people, and make amazing memories in the process! I wish I could be in the marsh every day, so give me a call!
